Higher Order Derivatives
We have seen that from one function we can calculate a new function, the derivative of the original function. This new function, however, can itself be differentiated, giving what is called the second derivative of the original function. Differentiating again gives the third derivative of the original function, and so on. In this section we calculate and interpret such higher-order derivatives.
